Library Visit Schedule 2020-21 with Zoom - Print It

Due to COVID-19 pandemic conditions that persist in Los Angeles County, MBUSD schools will open with 100% distance learning in the fall of the 2020-21 school year. Mrs. Snively will continue to present library program content over Zoom.
School library services are reduced by 50% during distance learning and will be restored to 100% by a generous grant from MBEF once conditions improve and we can get to at least a hybrid model of at-home and on-site instruction.
Update Grand View Elementary is preparing to add hybrid instruction for grades 3-4-5 the week of March 1, 2021, and the library schedule pictured below will go into effect on March 1.
Update Grand View Elementary will move to four days a week hybrid instruction for grades TK-2 the week of February 1, 2021.
Update Grand View Elementary is preparing to move to hybrid instruction for grades TK-2 the week of December 7, 2020.

Protocols in a Simpler Time Before COVID-19

Students enjoy weekly visits for a presentation crafted to instill a love of reading, to enhance classroom lessons, and to inspire life-long learning. Visits include checking out materials, practicing information literacy, and exercising digital citizenship.
Parents (especially those with children in TK or Kindergarten) are encouraged to open an account to borrow books to take home. Please limit visits to before and after school hours or during recess so as not to disrupt class visits.
Before school: students in grades 1-5 are welcome to visit on their own from 8:00-8:10.
First recess: students in grades 3-5 are welcome to visit from 10:25-10:45.
After school: all students are welcome to visit after school in the company of a parent or caregiver when classes are not scheduled.
MON 2:15-2:45 -- TUE 2:45-4:30 -- THU 2:45-4:30 -- FRI 2:15-4:30 The library is not open after school on Wednesday.
