Read-a-Thon Returns Monday, January 29, 2024
We are so excited for our upcoming read-a-thon! More information will be in the Gazette in the coming weeks.
Read-a-thons get your reader excited about reading and give friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.
Our Read-a-thon starts Monday, January 29 and ends Thursday, February 8 at 10:00 p.m.
We encourage you to activate your reader’s account today by clicking HERE and following the simple instructions.
This is where you will be able to view and record your readers progress including all reading minutes and fundraising efforts.
For our students that are just learning to read, please note that being read to always counts!
We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
We hope EVERYONE participates!
Reading is it's own reward, but it's fun to get prizes, too!
Read-a-Thon Results February 11
Thank you to everyone for helping make our Read-a-Thon a success!
Collectively, our amazing students read for 89,926 minutes and we raised nearly $17,000 for our school!
The donation portal will remain open until February 19.

Let's Do This!
I know our students and parents love healthy competition. As an educator, there is nothing healthier than cultivating a love of reading. Bringing reading and competition together seems like a WIN! So, I am excited to announce the 2023 Grand View Readathon. In addition to promoting reading, the Readathon is a great way for us to raise money for our PTA. All funds raised will go to expenses for this school year including field trips, classroom supplies, technology enhancements and more! I can't wait to see how we do. GO GATORS!
