Optional Reading Challenge Students in fourth and fifth grade are invited to participate in an optional novel reading challenge. students qualify to participate by completing this questionnaire and returning it to Mrs. Snively by this Friday, March 24. Voting day is Wednesday, March 29 during lunch. Participants will eat their lunch in the library, vote, and receive prizes and giveaways. This challenge is not part of the CYRM program.

Curriculum Connections: Social Emotional Learning/Social Issues
In this children's story, a Korean American boy and a Black girl become friends and help the adults in their lives learn an important lesson about overcoming differences. The authors are a former Grand View parent and student. CA Young Reader Medal presentations will resume next week for 4th grade.
